Merry Xmas ~ Babbo Natale Segreto ~ Edera Dorata ~ Golden Ivy

Anche se con un pò di ritardo volevo darti i miei auguri di buone Natale, con la speranza che tu possa trascorrere questi giorni di festa in allegria e gioia in compagnia di coloro che ami e ti amano, che sono il vero regalo di questi giorni.

Anche quest'anno ho partecipato all'iniziativa dell' Etsy Italia Team, il Babbo Natale Segreto, anche se avevo perso quasi la speranza di riuscirvi, perché in questi ultimi mesi la mia adorata coniglia si è aggravata e ho dovuto purtroppo trasformarmi in una infermiera lapina. Per fortuna sono riuscita a trovare un attimo propizio per spedire il tutto alla mia "bambina" destinataria del regalo, l'esuberante Valentina di MyLittleStudio76. 

This year I joined again the Etsy Italia Team event, Secret Santa Claus, even if I was loosing the hope of being really part of it, because my sweetheart, my beloved bunny felt progressively sicker than in the previous months, so I had unfortunately to nurse my bunny. Luckly I found a precious moment to send the gift to my "child", Valentina, the exuberant owner of MyLittleStudio76.

Questo è stato il mio regalo per lei: Edera Dorata, una collana lunga realizzata con paste polimeriche, acrilici, rame battuto a mano (le mie orecchie ancora piangono!), crisoprasio, cristalli di vetro ceco, perline di vetro indiano e minuteria libera da nichel.

This is my gift for her: Golden Ivy, a long necklace made with polymer clays, acrylics, hand hammered copper (my ears are still crying!), chrysoprase, Czech glass crystals, Indian glass beads and nickel free metal parts.

Per farmi perdonare del ritardo con cui le è arrivato il regalo, le ho donato anche i bulbetti dei miei gigli, nati dopo l'ultima fioritura, e i ricettacoli pieni di semini di iperico, raccolti quest'estate sulla mia collina preferita, così tra sei mesi quando fioriranno potrà ricordarsi di me e della terra da cui provengono, la terra del Sole e dei Campi Ardenti, e portare nella sua vita la bellezza, il profumo e i caldi colori dei loro fiori, oltre le benefiche proprietà dell'iperico.
Credo che questa aggiunta la farò ad ogni spedizione, variando i doni al variare del destinatario, della stagione e della creazione in partenza, saranno il mio augurio verde per te! :)

In order to show how much sorry I was, I sent her also the little bulbs sprouted on my lilies, after the last blooming, and the fruits - full of little seeds - of  St John's wort, that I gathered last summer on my favourite hill, so that , when they will bloom, she can remember me and the land they came from, the land of Sun and the Phlegrean Fields.but also they will bring in her life the beauty, perfumes and warm colours of their flowers as well as the beneficial properties of St John's wort.
I think that I'll add these gifts to each shipping, but I'll change them according to the recipient, the season and the departing creation, they'll be my green greetings for you! :)

Foglia di Quercia ~ Oak Leaf

La collana Foglia di Quercia è stata realizzata con paste polimeriche, occhio di tigre, corniola, nastro in similpelle, ottone, minuteria nichel free, perle di vetro di Murano e perle di vetro ceco.

Una volta indossata la collana impreziosisce il décolleté con i suoi caldi colori. La collana è lunga 33 cm (13 inches), mentre il pendente è lungo 14 cm (5 inches 1/2 ) e largo 7 cm ( 3 inches circa).

Con l'arrivo dell'autunno è difficile non notare il cambio di stagione cui gli alberi sottopongono le proprie chiome e così accade spesso di assistere alla magica danza delle foglie cadenti, con le loro piroette e il loro indugiare zigzagando nell'aria come piume al vento. E' così che in una delle mie passeggiate in collina una quercia al soffio del vento mi abbia donato un magnifico spettacolo di danza fogliare ed una delle ballerine si è andata ad incastrare tra i riccioli dei miei capelli. Mi ha colpita con i suoi colori caldi e ambrati ed è a lei che devo l'ispirazione per questa collana meravigliosamente autunnale.

Ed eccola lì la ricchezza che la Terra ci ha donato, trasformata in gioiello, per portarla sempre con noi!

The necklace "Oak Leaf" is made with polymer clays, tiger eye, carnelian, fake leather ribbon, Murano glass beads, Czech glass beads, brass and nikel free metal parts.

Once you wear the necklace, it enriches your décolletage with its warm colours. The necklace is 13 inches (33 cm) long, while the leaf pendant is 5 and 1/2 inches (14 cm) long and about 3 inches (7 cm) wide.

When the fall begins, it isn't unusual to see the trees changing their apparel and there's the opportunity to see the wonderful dances of the falling leaves, their magical pirouettes and their zigzag in the air like a falling feather. Few days ago I went on the hill so that I could see the woods at the sunset and when the wind began to blow an oak tree let me see an amazing show of dancing leaves, and one of them remained embedded in my hair. Its warm and golden colours captured my imagination and suddenly it became my source of inspiration for a brand new jewel perfect for the fall season.
My hands began to transform what was just an ispiration into a concrete autumnal necklace, ready to be worn!

Ciclamino ~ Cyclamen

Questa collana lunga in stile elfico è stata realizzata a mano con paste polimeriche, ametista e nastri di organza; su una base di intrecci ispirati all'arte floreale si erge un ciclamino con fiori di color lilla.

Una volta indossata, il pendente della collana cadrà di poco al di sotto del seno, all'altezza dello stomaco, ma è possibile anche accorciarla facendo un nodo supplementare.
Il pendente è lungo 15 cm (6 inch) e ha una larghezza massima di 8 cm (circa 3 inch).

Ora che le giornate si sono fatte più fresche e i terreni sono di nuovo umidi, ecco che i ciclamini rispuntano dalla terra con i loro brillanti colori trasformando l'autunno in una seconda primavera, come diceva anche Albert Camus, non solo in boschi e colline ma anche sui nostri terrazzi e davanzali. Ed è proprio ad una di queste piccole piantine che cresce sul mio balcone che mi sono ispirata, un piccolo ciclamino che è arrivato in un momento non troppo felice della mia vita e che è diventato il piccolo eroe del balcone dopo aver dimostrato di essere più vivo che mai a chi - invece - lo dava per defunto. In fondo la magia dei ciclamini è proprio questa: dormono durante le calde stagioni per ridestarsi all'arrivo di quelle fredde e buie, quasi a volerci ricordare la bellezza durante le giornate grigie.

Così, sotto il suo incanto, ho realizzato questa collana in modo tale che si adattasse alla stagione in cui i ciclamini, i miei fiori preferiti, fioriscono. Ho scelto l'ametista come pietra, perché aiuta durante la meditazione - cui ci si dedica di più in autunno - a scoprire la propria saggezza interiore, ad ascoltare il nostro sé divino ed anche perché è una valida alleata nell'affrontare i cambiamenti tipici della stagione e i relativi spossamenti psico-fisici, come stanchezza, mal di testa e malumore, che aiuta a mitigare. E' nel cuore nel pendente, tra onde sinuose intessute dagli spiriti del bosco e l'intrico di foglie e steli della pianta, che è nascosta l'alleata che Madre Natura ci ha donato.

This elvish long necklace was made with polymer clays, amethyst and organza ribbons; on a base inspired by Art Nouveau and its swirls there's a cyclamen with lilac flowers. The entire pendant is handmade.

Once you wear it, the pendent arrives at the height of the stomach, just below the breast, but you can change the length by making an extra knot.
The pendant is 6 inches (15 cm) long and about 3 inches (8 cm) wide.

Now the air is crisp and the soil is wet, that's the perfect time for cyclamen to emerge and blossom turning in this way the fall in a second spring, as Albert Camus said. So we see the woods and hills in full bloom, but also our terraces and windowsills; and I have to admit that I took inspiration from a small cyclamen plant I have on my balcony, one which seemed to be dead but showed me how much alive it was. No doubt, that's cyclamen magic: they're still and sleeping during the warm seasons and wake up when the air gets crisp and the nights are longer, as they would remind us to find beauty even in the darkest days.

So, under its spell, I made this necklace attuned to the season when these charming flowers - which are my favourite ones - bloom. I chose the amethyst because it helps during meditation (which is often associated with fall) in finding our inner wisdom and listening to our divine self, but also because it's helpful when we have to face up the changes and psychophysical enfeeblements caused by the turning of the season, like headache, lethargy and bad mood. It's in the heart of the pendant, between the serpetine swirls made by the Good People of the wood and the tangle of leaves and stems, that the ally Mother Nature gave us is hidden.

Aiuto Terremoto - Earthquake Aid

E con l'inizio di settembre si riparte, con una scelta di Cuore!

Sarebbe stato davvero difficile per me non partecipare alla catena di solidarietà dei creativi italiani per aiutare coloro che sono stati colpiti dal terremoto in Centro Italia, avendolo sentito io stessa qui giù al Sud, nei Campi Flegrei. Anche se la scossa era leggera, l'ho sentita tutta e così pure la paura che ti coglie in quei momenti, posso solo immaginare cosa sia significato per quelle persone, lì nel cuore dell'Italia. Così ho pensato, progettato e realizzato queste creazioni per l'occasione il cui ricavato, al netto delle spese di spedizione, sarà interamente devoluto alla Croce Rossa Italiana che sta operando nelle zone colpite dal sisma fornendo gli aiuti di prima necessità, così da dare anche noi una mano... o due!

September begins and I begin with a Heart felt choice!

It would have been difficult not to join the solidarity chain organized by Italian crafters with the aim to help those people affected by the earthquake in Central Italy, because even if I live in the South, in the Phlegrean Fields I felt the earthquake during the night. Even if it was light in this area, I felt it as I felt the fear which is often felt in this case, so I can only imagine what those people felt that night. That's why I join the campaign and thought, planned and made these creations for this hard time and decided that I am donating the entire proceeds of these items, net of shipping and taxes, to the Italian Red Cross which is helping those people with their basic needs. We have an opportunity to help them with our hands, both our hands, so let's do it!
