I made these earrings few years ago; taking inspiration from ancient jewellery, I hoped they seemed quite "old", that's also why I called them Greca, which means Greek in English.

I made them with rose quartz, turquoise and hammered copper. The making of the upper spiral (the one linked to turquoise) was quite difficult and I am still amazed that I did it, and - I have to admit - I'm so proud of it :)

In the last days I was thinking about making a new pair of them because this one isn't available anymore, but also because I was wondering to start a collection of jewelry inspired by ancient pieces and it seemed interesting that these earrings would be the starters of the new collection, do you agree?
If you are interested in this pair, I'll be glad to make it just for you! :)

Verde Ispirazione ~ Green Inspiration

These earrings were meant to be just mine, because I made them when I fell in love with chrysoprase and I really wanted to wear it everyday, but they were so loved that I was forced to make other four pairs like them.
As you can see, these earrings are made with hammered copper, chrysoprase, glass&swarovski beads. I made them with these colours because I wanted them remembering about Earth, which I adore.

I decided to post here (and probably in the shop in the future) all the creations made in the past. If I think about my creations, I can't stop thinking about how many names I gave them and also changed: firstly their name was Doni d'Ambrosia, secondly Strix Creations, then StregArte, and now Naturæ Cor, and I have to admit that I hope not to change it again. Now that you know how many time I changed the name, don't be scared if you'll receive something with one of the previous names, because what you have in your hands is something that has sprouted thanks to my imagination and skills to transform my own ideas into matter.
I really hope you like all of them and that they can find a warm home at last.

Collana "La Gitana Verde" ~ "The Green Gypsy" Necklace

Presto la troverete nello shop!

As you can see, for this necklace I took inspiration from the gypsy apparel.
I wanted to create a necklace in which each part was different from the others and matched well together.
It was made with different kinds of beads (glass, czech glass, swarovski), green jasper (also known as oceanic jasper) and part of metal (which is nickel free).

Hope you like it! :)
You'll find it as soon as possible in the shop!

Orecchini "La Gitana Verde" ~ "The Green Gypsy" Earrings

Presto saranno nello shop!

Orecchini "Tesoro d'Ippocastano" ~ "Horse Chestnut's Treasure" Earrings

These earrings are made with polymer clays, labradorite, brass, nickel free metal, micro pearls and pearly powders.

These earrings are about 4 inches (10 cm) long.

I made them for being a part of a set of jewellery with the necklace that you can find at the related post.

For the design of the earrings I took inspiration from the Art Nouveau jewellery which often had as its main subject plants, but also from the jewellery inspired by those evanescent spirits - like fairies and elves - who were considered the carers of the natural world as we know through myths, fairy tales and sagas as well as modern literature thanks to writers like J.R.R. Tolkien and its "Lord of the Ring".

Hope they will give your life that spark which will help your dreams coming true, but also enhance your natural beauty with the colour of the fall, the season of charming transformation.

You can find the earrings in the Etsy shop too :)

Collana "Tesoro d'Ippocastano" ~ "Horse Chestnut's Treasure" Necklace

This necklace is made with polymer clays, horse chestnut shell, labradorite, Murano glass beads, Czech glass beads, brass, nickel free metal, micro pearls and pearly powders.

The necklace is about 14 inches (36 cm) long.

As I came across the horse chestnut shell during a visit in the forest in the beginning of the autumn, I was enchanted by its shape as it was keeping a secret or protecting a treasure inside. That's what gave me the inspiration for the name of this precious necklace, and it's truly a mystery that no one could answer: what's hiding inside the shell? It could be everything and nothing at all. It could be just pure air, the caterpillar (or worm) that ate the fruit, or a seed. I hope it's a seed, because the seed is the promise of a new plant and a plant is a living being, so the shell would be treasuring life itself.

For the design of the necklace I took inspiration from the Art Nouveau jewellery which often had as its main subject plants, but also from the jewellery inspired by those evanescent spirits - like fairies and elves - who were considered the carers of the natural world as we know through myths, fairy tales and sagas as well as modern literature thanks to writers like J.R.R. Tolkien and its "Lord of the Ring".

Hope it will give your life that spark which will help your dreams coming true, but also enhance your natural beauty with the colour of the fall, the season of charming transformation.

You can find it in the Etsy shop too :)

Peace

sabato 14 novembre 2015

Everyday there are places which are threatened by terrorists and are under war attacks, and unfortunately they aren't few, but a lot, and we could write a sad, very sad list with countries from Africa, Asia and Middle East. Yesterday it came here in Europe too.

My heart beats for and gives all those people which are threatened, hurt and suffering in each corner of the world its love and affection, but also all those people that are and will be discriminated thanks to these stupid and ignorant terrorists, who act just for themselves and no one (and nothing) else.

I haven't got any words for prayers, I don't really think it will help, but I will do everything to bring peace and love through each of my actions, to make those who can be discriminated feel welcome as the French people (not the government) has done opening the doors of my heart.
I really do hope you'll do the same, we must be the first messengers of peace, love and brother/sisterhood within humankind.

Love, Flavia.
